Here are great ways you can help and make a difference in the lives of homeless cats and kittens.
Adopt a needy cat from a rescue shelter. Do not adopt from backyard breeders or kitty mills/pet stores. They are only in it for the money and encourage irresponsible owners to continue producing more babies that end up on the streets.
Kittens are adorable, but mature cats are needing you even more as many people will pass them over. Adopt a mature or senior cat and know their final years will mean so much because you gave them love and a safe place to live.
Can’t commit to ‘forever’? Consider fostering an adult cat or kittens. Fostering allows a family to try out taking care of a cat if this is new to you. You’ll discover if anyone is allergic and if you like the companionship of a cat in the house. If the cat is adopted, you’ll know you helped give him/her a safe place during the wait so s/he didn’t have to live on the streets.
